Kampung Chubadak residents who are under threat of eviction, gathered at the office of developer Sentul Murni yesterday morning to protest the destruction of two houses that were not marked for demolition.

The developer initially refused to meet the residents' representatives but ultimately relented and allowed them to submit their complaints and demand for compensation.

The developer agreed not to proceed with any further demolition for seven days beginning today and will meet with the residents at the end of the deadline to agree on the next course of action.
