The state BN chairperson said the three-cornered fight in the previous general election was among the reasons BN failed to seize the state administration from Pakatan Harapan.
"The best way is Muafakat. That's why we have a good relationship with PAS," he was quoted as saying by Free Malaysia Today in an interview yesterday.
"We hope both Umno and PAS leadership are watching. Selangor is different. Different states have different politics,” he added.
The 2018 general election saw Harapan securing state power for the third time by winning 51 out of 56 state seats. BN won only four while PAS, which contested in 42 seats, won only one.
Noh, who is also the state Umno chief, said the matter had been brought to the attention of party president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and had appealed to PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang to ensure both parties would not clash in Selangor.
"I am worried that it will be game over for both Umno and PAS if we clash with each other. We need to find a formula to avoid such clashes.
"We hope the spirit of Muafakat in Selangor will continue, but if PAS wants to stay with Perikatan Nasional (PN), then we will be left with no choice. Don't blame us if a clash takes place," he cautioned.
Noh did not dismiss the possibility of cooperating with Bersatu and PN as Azmin Ali and Zuraida Kamaruddin were no longer part of Harapan.
"We look at the Malacca state election, who would have thought that PKR lost all the state seats it contested? Maybe the people eyed for positions," he said.
