Residents lose to a highway project

video crew was there to record residents looking in despair as their homes were torn down.
In the struggle to stop the bulldozers, two women villagers were detained by police, but were later released.
One resident told malaysiakini.tv that the residents were not against development.
"We are ready to move out. Our demands are not too much. All we want are proper, comfortable alternative houses," she said.
The houses are demolished to make way for the Duta-Ulu Kelang (Duke) Highway project.
