Pakatan Harapan has assured that all 90 of its MPs will support the government's bill to amend the Federal Constitution and enact an anti-party hopping law.
This follows a meeting between the top leaders of Harapan parties and Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob in Putrajaya today.
"The Harapan presidential council gives its full commitment that all Harapan MPs will give their support to pass this constitutional amendment," the Harapan presidential council said in a statement today.
The statement was signed by PKR president Anwar Ibrahim, Amanah president Mohamad Sabu, DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke, and Upko president Wilfred Madius Tangau.
They said that Ismail Sabri also assured them that Parliament will meet on April 11 to debate and vote on the bill.
The anti-party hopping law will reportedly automatically trigger a by-election if an MP resigns, is sacked from their party, or joins a new party, and if an independent MP joins a party.

Lawmakers have said that while there are kinks to iron out, it is more important to put the law in place now and then improve on it in the future.
With 90 MPs from Harapan on board, Ismail Sabri's government will only need to deliver 57 votes to secure a two-thirds majority and pass the bill.
Ownership of MySejahtera
On a separate matter, Anwar - who is the opposition leader - also raised the matter of ownership of the phone application MySejahtera, saying it should be debated in the Dewan Rakyat.
The app was initially developed by Entomo Malaysia but its licence was sold to the newly set up entity MySJ Sdn Bhd which has roped in various players ahead of a potentially lucrative deal with Putrajaya.
Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin had stressed that the government won't pay the RM338.6 million that MySJ Sdn Bhd paid to Entomo for the licence and is seeking a price that is "far lower".
