K'tan prospering under PAS, doesn't need Harapan - info chief

Kelantan PAS information chief Mohd Nassuruddin Daud is fully in support of his party president’s attacks against Pakatan Harapan and insists that the state is prospering under PAS rule.

“Kelantan PAS fully supports the determination shown by Abdul Hadi Awang in rejecting  Harapan, which has clearly given bad experiences and nightmares to the people for 22 months when it was the government of this country.

“Kelantan is no exception. The internal turmoil of Kelantan Harapan, which has not reached a complete solution, certainly supports this rejection,” he claimed in a statement this morning.

“What else can the people expect from Harapan, which harms the Malay/Muslim community until various liberal beliefs enter our country and challenge the Islamic faith,” added Nassuruddin (above).

Hadi, who is Marang MP, claimed that Harapan is unable to be fair because many of its leaders are “non-believers and immoral” and that when Harapan contested the 14th general election in 2018, it had openly taken in bribe givers and bribe takers.

PAS has headed the Kelantan state government since 1990 and has a lower GDP per capita than most other Malaysian states. It also lags behind in industry and urban development, while leading advocacy for child marriage.

Nassuruddin feels that Kelantan should be touted as an example of its leadership.

“PAS has definitely gone through the minefield of experience in forming various collaborations between political parties including the collaboration that started in 1998, which started with Barisan Alternatif and Pakatan Rakyat. 

“After the Ummah Unification (temporary alliance with Umno) brought by our leadership, it is the responsibility of all members to welcome this effort. 

“Harapan as a coalition failed to bring a balanced mission for race and religion and is in conflict with the principle of unity based on understanding between races and religions in this country,” he said, adding that the call for Ummah unification is not only about the political survival of PAS, but rather the survival of Muslims.
