Perlis will get a menteri besar from PAS if Perikatan Nasional (PN) wins the state in the 15th general election (GE15), said the coalition's secretary-general Hamzah Zainudin.

This is because PAS is seen as a "big brother" to Bersatu in Perlis, the home minister explained.

"PAS should guide Bersatu (in the coming election), and both parties should stop attacking each other as GE15 nears.

"So, what's wrong in the 'big brother' leading the state if we win GE15?" Hamzah (above) said during a meeting with Perlis PN leaders at Hotel Seri Malaysia in Kangar, last night, as reported by Utusan Malaysia.

For the record, the incumbent Perlis menteri besar is Azlan Man from Umno.

During the meeting, Hamzah also reportedly urged all PN members to not publicise their party's strategies on social media, to prevent their political foes from taking advantage.

Hamzah further claimed that more non-bumiputera have started supporting PN as the election approaches.

"I'm proud to say that we can prove that no PN leader has been questioned of their integrity," he added.

The question of whether PAS reunites with its former ally Umno or remains with Bersatu in PN is expected to be known in the next few days.
