Bersatu open to consider working with Pejuang - Muhyiddin

Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin said his party is open to considering cooperation with Pejuang in the upcoming 15th general election (GE15).

However, he said, there have not been any overtures made regarding such cooperation.

“So far, there has not been anyone contacting me regarding this matter and we are already in the preparation phase.

“So, I do not know if there will be such a suggestion because we did discuss it at one point but that was much earlier.

“But after that, nothing happened so we are not sure if it was serious or not. If they (Pejuang) are serious and are negotiating seriously, we are ready to consider,” Muhyiddin (above, left) said, as reported by Berita Harian today.

He added that he would not be able to decide on this cooperation unilaterally, as this matter would have to be brought before the Bersatu supreme council first.

Pejuang chairperson Dr Mahathir Mohamad (above, right) was previously reported as saying they would consider working with any party in line with Pejuang’s fight against Umno and BN.

However, the former prime minister did not mention which party he was referring to.
