Disciplinary panel clears Cikgu Fadli of wrongdoing
The Gombak-based teacher announced the findings during a Facebook Live session tonight.
The Education Support Services Disciplinary Council has cleared primary school teacher Mohd Fadli Mohamed Salleh of wrongdoing, following the latter’s open criticism of the education system and syllabus.
The Gombak-based teacher announced the findings during a Facebook Live session tonight.
Previously, Fadli was facing the possibility of demotion or dismissal for criticising the national syllabus, which he claimed was too difficult and unsuitable.
He also raised issues about large class sizes, having too many subjects and the weight of school bags.
Meanwhile, the teacher said the disciplinary council’s decision to clear him is the result of pressure from netizens.

“The finding that I was not in the wrong, in my view, is mainly because of pressure from netizens.
“I believe if I was found guilty, the people will be even angrier.
“This is because I’ve received a lot of support, because I believe I am in the right and what is being inflicted upon me by certain quarters is an attempt to seek vengeance, and impose an oppressive and illogical punishment,” he said.
