UPDATED 12.58AM | It appears that after Selangor, DAP’s seat reshuffling continues in Perak, where several party leaders can expect to contest different constituencies in the Silver State after tonight’s announcements.

DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke said Perak DAP secretary Wong Kah Woh will be be leaving the Ipoh Timur parliamentary seat to contest in Taiping this general election.

Meanwhile, two-term Pasir Pinji state assemblyperson Howard Lee Chuan How will be replacing Wong in the Ipoh Timor seat.

A new candidate Goh See Hua, 33, will be replacing incumbent Lee in the latter’s Pasir Pinji state assembly seat.

Meanwhile, state DAP chairperson Nga Kor Ming will leave Aulong state seat for Kepayang. Nga will also be defending the Teluk Intan parliamentary seat.

Incumbent Taiping MP Teh Kok Lim will replace Nga in Aulong.

During the 2018 national polls, DAP won in all seven parliamentary seats it contested - Ipoh Timor, Ipoh Barat, Kampar, Batu Gajah, Teluk Intan, Beruas and Taiping - as well as 18 state seats.

However, it lost three state seats to defections later on – Buntong, Tronoh and Malim Nawar.
