Muda candidates, leaders to undergo disability sensitisation training

All Muda candidates and party top brass will attend a disability sensitisation training, said deputy president Amira Aisya Abdul Aziz.

This comes following a backlash against the party’s candidate for Repah, Muhammad Noriswan Ishak over an old video of him allegedly mocking disabled persons.

“Everyone has their past. The most important thing is the willingness to learn.

“Noriswan has already publicly apologised and is ready to undergo training,” Amira (above) said in response to a tweet yesterday.

Amira added that disability issues were a cause that Noriswan wanted to fight for in Negeri Sembilan.

In 2021, Noriswan uploaded a video to TikTok of him and a friend pretending to be disabled to get a parking spot at a shopping mall.

In the video, Noriswan lamented about the scarcity of parking spaces before cutting to his friend acting like a disabled person, with distorted facial expressions, clawed hands, and knocked knees.

Noriswan later apologised after the video received criticism, claiming that the video was actually to make fun of people who pretended to be disabled in order to get parking space.
