PKR Youth today lodged a police report urging for investigative action on the allegations brought up in the on-going murder trial of Mongolian national Altantuya Shaariibuu.

The report, made at the Dang Wangi police station in Kuala Lumpur, lists several allegations brought to light in what has quickly become the nation's most talked-about trial.

PKR Youth information chief Lau Tek Hai said the report was lodged to uncover the "truth", as the country is now abuzz with rumours about implicated government officials and departments.

"We want the public to be given satisfactory answers. Everyone is confused now about all the allegations, and the public want answers," he said.

The report mentions three allegations made by witnesses during the trial.

The first, made by Uuriintuya Gal-Ochir, concerns the deleted records of Uuriintuya and Altantuya's entry into Malaysia. Uuriintuya had previously told the Shah Alam High Court that records of her entry into the country had been deleted from Immigration Department records.

"The officer responsible for entry records should give a full explanation on the matter," said Lau, in from the report.

Last week, another opposition party also called for the department to explain the allegations, adding that officials, if found guilty, should suffer "the harshest actions possible".

The report also called for the police force to investigate allegations of torture and abuse made by trial witness lance corporal Rohaniza Roslan and accused corporal Sirul Azhar Umar. Both Rohaniza and Sirul testified that they made statements to the polie under duress.

'We want Najib to answer'

The last item on the report was a photograph mentioned in testimony of Altantuya dining with third accused Abdul Razak Baginda and a high ranking government official known as "Najib Razak".

Accusations have been made that the official involved is Deputy Premier Najib Razak, although he has denied knowing Altantuya.

The report calls for the police to investigate whether Najib had ever been in Paris at the same time as Baginda.

"We want Najib to answer. If such a picture exists we want to know where it is," said PKR Youth Chief Shamsul Iskandar.

Referring to the recent controversy over a doctored photograph of Najib, Altantuya and Baginda displayed on PKR information chief Tian Chua's blog, Shamsul said that BN Youth should not focus on the matter but instead check to see if a real photograph actually exists.

The movement hoped the police force would conduct investigations and publicise their completed results.

"We don't want the people to make speculations for nothing. This is not good for the country,"

He added that transparent investigations into these three matters would be of benefit to government departments and officials.

"These investigations are necessary for good governance," he said, urging the government to come forward with clear explanations.
