The faces of abused women could be shown publicly to shame their husbands, a report said today.

The proposal came from the head of the Public Service and Complaints Department, a type of ombudsman with the Malaysian Chinese Association, a political party within the ruling coalition.
"I am gathering the pictures of these victims... We are planning to exhibit these pictures with the consent of the victims," the complaints department head, Michael Chong, told the New Straits Times .
"We want to expose their violent husbands."
Chong said the habitually-abusive husbands had "better take heed."
