Yee: The Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA) of Malaysia and the Election Commission (EC), if there is any worth and integrity in them, should follow up on Dr Mahathir's claim that there was bribery and vote-buying during the Ijok by-election. This is not heresy by a man on the street but an accusation made by the a former prime minister of Malaysia who has led the country for more than 20 years. If there is any integrity left in these organisations (ACA and EC) then they should investigate, prosecute and bring to justice those who have committed such acts.

Democracy in Malaysia is under serious threat and young Malaysians will be all the more disillusioned in the system. There is no more honour and integrity and if leaders behave this way, then the country is slip-sliding towards oblivion and destruction. It will not be long before systemic corruption destroys our society and we will be as like the many Third World countries we always compare ourselves to.

On The DPM's folly
