The New Straits Times led with a report that the government may consider introducing voluntary separation scheme (VSS) to rid the civil service of under-performers and staff with disciplinary problems.

The Star front-paged several foreign women's pleas to the daily via SMS. The women are believed to be held as sex slaves at the Bakun dam site by gangsters.

Malay newspapers

Berita Harian reported the introduction of VSS for the country's civil service.

All three dailies also reported that the police is still investigating the case.
