Taking land issue to court 'sissy' act, Takiyuddin tells Kesedar chief
Police have summoned the PAS secretary-general over a remark he made during an Aug 3 ceramah on an allegation that the South Kelantan Land Development Board (Kesedar) refused to process thousands of land plot applications.

Police have summoned the PAS secretary-general over a remark he made during an Aug 3 ceramah on an allegation that the South Kelantan Land Development Board (Kesedar) refused to process thousands of land plot applications.
Takiyuddin Hassan (above) said he will stand firm behind his remark despite being called by police for a statement after Umno Youth lodged a report and facing legal action from Kesedar chairperson Zawawi Othman.
He also said that taking the matter to court was a “sissy” (pondan) move on the Kesedar chief’s part who should have addressed it in a ceramah just as he did.
“Umno Youth lodged a report, claiming that I made a threat. How was this even considered a threat? We will go to the police station since we have been summoned. However, we have yet to be able to due to a tight schedule.
"Don't use police reports and the court (in politics). But if you really want to go this way, then we can also play the same game," he said during a ceramah at Sungai Asap in Gua Musang, Kelantan last night.

On Aug 3, Takiyuddin told a ceramah in Kampung Bertam Lama that the Kelantan state government had already approved several land ownership applications but Kesedar did not process most of them.
"There were thousands of applications that the state government has already approved, including 602 in Limau Kasturi and 1,374 in Sungai Terah.
"However, the land title deeds could not be surrendered to the applicants because Kesedar did not process them," he said.
‘Take it to political stage’
Zawawi refuted Takiyuddin's statement, stressing that Kesedar land plots are wholly under the agency and have nothing to do with the Kelantan state government.
Zawawi also reminded PAS leaders to not meddle in Kesedar’s business because the agency has its process of approving land titles for settlers.
Takiyuddin said Zawawi, who is also the Kelantan Umno information chief, should have taken the matter to the political stage by responding in a ceramah so the rakyat could judge for themselves.
"(However) Zawawi challenged me and said that he wants to sue me. Since reporters are asking for my response, my comment is that I will answer this matter during ceramah.
“We are politicians, do not take it to court every time you feel that you are upset with something.
"Taking matters to court is what we call a pondan act. Let's fight on a political stage and explain to the people why Kesedar is not giving the settlers the land ownership," he added.
