PAS Youth denies it brought alcohol to Orang Asli, lodges police report

NENGGIRI BY-ELECTION | Kelantan PAS Youth has lodged a police report today to refute allegations that they had brought alcoholic drinks (arak) to an Orang Asli area in Nenggiri.

Its chief Mohd Kamal Mohamed lodged the report against social media influencer Wan Mahussin Wan Zain, who made the claims against PAS in a TikTok video.

“The video contained remarks made by an Orang Asli, along with a written text ‘Pemuda PAS Beri Arak Kepada Orang Asli’ and a background of a PAS flag.

“To us, this video is an attempt to slander PAS. We strongly deny it and urge police to investigate and take action,” said Kamal (above) after lodging his report in Gua Musang.

In the video shared by Wan Mahussin, the Orang Asli man claimed PAS Youth had attempted to offer them alcoholic beverages, supposedly to prevent them from voting on Saturday.

Additionally, Kamal also accused Wan Mahussin of falsely targeting PAS with claims that the state government had approved for clearance 13,354ha of forest land in Gua Musang this year.

“We are lodging the police report today because we want the election process to be clean, no wild accusations with the intention to attract votes,” he said.

There are two days left for campaigning in the Nenggiri by-election.
