Three women believed to have been involved in the child exploitation case linked to Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holding (GISBH) had their remand order extended until Sept 22.

The initial remand period of the women, who were arrested in Nilai and Seremban in Negeri Sembilan, ended on Sept 14.

Negeri Sembilan police chief Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof said another woman who was detained in Nilai was released on police bail after her remand ended today.

“Today, the police applied to extend the remand on an individual (arrested in Nilai) at the Seremban Sessions Court to continue with investigations into the case.

“Another woman was not remanded on bail because she is pregnant,” he told Bernama today.

Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain previously said that police rescued 402 children, aged between one year and 17 years, who were believed to have been exploited in Negeri Sembilan and Selangor.

A total of 171 individuals were arrested in Op Global, including 105 women, aged between 17 and 64.
