MCA Youth should be conscious, take strong stands when stating their views, and carry the voice of the Chinese community, said party deputy president Dr Mah Hang Soon.

He urged the youth wing, as the party’s frontline, to stand up and show courage in defending democracy and justice.

“We need to be strong and resilient to face all challenges. MCA has been at a low point, but with support and determination from members and leaders, we have risen to fight for freedom, democracy, and justice.

“I urge MCA Youth to stand up and show your courage to defend the dignity and values of freedom, democracy, and justice.

“MCA Youth as politicians need to be more sensitive, and respond faster with more accuracy at any time,” he said.

Mah was giving a speech at the MCA Youth assembly in Wisma MCA, Kuala Lumpur, today.

He also said BN’s big wins in the Nenggiri and Mahkota by-elections in August and September proved MCA’s role in securing votes and contributing to the coalition’s victories.

He pointed out that the wins prove voters are once again confident of BN’s multi-party cooperation model and appreciated the development and prosperity brought by the coalition for over 60 years.

The relations between MCA Youth and BN Youth should also continue to be strengthened, Mah added.
