Perak opposition chief Razman Zakaria has reportedly apologised to Menteri Besar Saarani Mohamad over the former’s speech in a recent rally at the Menara Condong Teluk Intan.

Razman, who is also Perak PAS chief, claimed that his speech, where he had allegedly insulted Saarani, had been taken out of context.

"I would like to apologise... Bercham assemblyperson (Ong Boon Piow) is not the only person who loves MB, I also love MB because we came from the same village.

"My speech was taken out of context. If you felt insulted by what I said, I apologise.

“Menteri besar is a good person, he even approved my applications for funding for tahfiz schools and a new car for the opposition chief. Where else can we find such a good menteri besar?” Sinar Harian reported him as saying.

Razman reportedly made the apology during the debate session for the 2025 Perak Budget at the state legislative assembly in Ipoh.

According to the daily, Saarani, when tabling the budget three days ago, expressed disappointment for being called "biadab" (rude) by a certain individual.
