The New Straits Times , Star and The Sun reported that Tee Hui Yee, 14, finally received a new heart after a one year wait and is currently in critical condition after a 10-hour operation at the National Heart Institute.

Star also reported the setting up of a special fund for persons in critical condition promising cash for treatment or equipment to save lives or restore function.

The Sun also headlined that Public Accounts Committee (PAC) saying government officers who are careless with public funds should pay a surcharge from their own pockets..

Malay newspapers

Utusan Malaysia and Berita Harian also headlined Tee's new heart.

Utusan also reported the heart donor's father as saying that his late son's gesture was his last contribution.

Berita Harian wrote that 200 undercover officers will be on duty to catch errant bus drivers in Ops Sikap XIII. It also reported that two suspects involved in Nurin Jazlin Jazimin's murder were seen on the LRT.

Tamil newspapers

Malaysia Nanban led with a report that Johor PPP president K Sivakumar has condemned Deputy Natural Resources and Environment Minister S Sothinathan for criticising PPP president M Kayveas.
