PAS spiritual leader Hashim Jasin appeared to suggest that cooperation between PAS and Umno could be revived if Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi were no longer involved.

He stated that PAS has always kept its doors open to the possibility of working with Umno again in order to unite Muslims in Malaysia.
