Therefore, I wish to urge all Malaysians to register with the EC as soon as possible so that you can exercise your right to vote, as your vote might be crucial in bringing about change for our country. The only way to bring about the downfall of this very corrupt, discriminatory and inefficient government is to vote in the opposition with the hope that we will see better days, and when all Malaysian citizens will be treated equally. So vote wisely, my dear friends, for once a mistake is made, there is no turning back.

Dhammika: There is a strong suspicion that new voters who registered much earlier have not been entered into the electoral list. My son registered four months ago and could not see his name after checking online. He went back to the post office and was told that they have submitted all the names to the Election Commission. I supposed many eligible young voters have experienced the same problem. I urge the opposition to put pressure on EC.

On 'Racial politics will destroy us'

Ah Chong: Gerakan Wanita chief Tan Lian Hoe has the right mind-set, but I will hasten to add that she and perhaps the party are in the wrong team. Racial politics will always be exploited to line the pockets of those who stand to gain from this ideology. The BN will always be a party based on racial politics.

Gerakan and its leaders should think carefully and clearly about their future in the BN. It is time to move on to a more progressive coalition and one that espouses a Malaysia for all Malaysians and support for all those who are poor and marginalised, irregardless of race. It is time that leaders of Gerakan work together with other non-race-based parties to form the next government so that we can to compete with other nations. Too much time and resource is spent fighting ourselves instead of working together to become more competitive globally.
