Moderate quake hits southern Sumba, Indonesia

A moderate earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale struck southern Sumba, Indonesia, at 10.28am today.

In a statement, the Malaysian Meteorological Department said the quake occurred at a depth of 11km and was located 315km south of Bima, Indonesia.

However, there is no tsunami threat to Malaysia.
