New Straits Times and The Sun focused on a London local council's decision to reject the Malaysian government's proposal to turn the Tun Abdul Razak Rubber Research Centre in Brickendonbury into a RM70 million sports training centre.

Malay newspapers

Tamil newspapers

All three Tamil dailies - Malaysia Nanban, Tamil Nesan and Makkal Osai - reported on improved results of Tamil schools in the UPSR assessment examinations, as 573 students scored 7As.

Berita Harian slammed former European Union representative to Malaysia Thierry Rommel for his scathing comments on Malaysia's electoral system. The daily claimed that he was 'interfering' in Malaysian affairs.

New Straits Times said the Stormwater Management and Road Tunnel was never meant to purely resolve traffic woes but to prevent Kuala Lumpur from being flooded.
