A jobless man has been beaten to death by a furious mob after he allegedly committed a lewd act in the parking lot of a supermarket in Jasin yesterday, said Malacca police chief Dzulkhairi Mukhtar.

He said in the incident at about 9pm, the 51-year-old victim died at the scene due to severe bodily injuries.
