Former economy minister Rafizi Ramli said the people’s reliance on personality and sentiments when selecting leaders has resulted in the country having ineffective leadership.

The PKR MP said this comes despite political leaders - be it the prime minister or other ministers - being paid by the rakyat to administer the country and resolve issues.
