The number of bullying cases in schools under the supervision of the Education Ministry has shown a significant increase since 2022, with more than 70 percent of them reported to occur in secondary schools every year.

Suhakam’s chief commissioner for children, Dr Farah Nini Dusuki, said that in 2022, a total of 819 bullying cases occurred in primary schools, while 3,064 were recorded in secondary schools.
