The alliance between Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) and Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (Star) has unravelled, throwing the Kadazandusun Murut (KDM) vote into uncertainty just weeks before Sabah goes to the polls.

Long known for its divisions, the KDM political front appeared to turn a corner when PBS and Star signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on April 18, 2024, pledging not to contest against each other.
