The 2025 Umno General Assembly, scheduled for Nov 26 to 29, has been postponed to Jan 14 to 17 next year.

Umno secretary-general Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki explained that the rescheduling follows a clash with the 17th Sabah state election, which will take place from Nov 15 to 29, as announced by the Election Commission.

“With this postponement, it is hoped that Umno leadership and machinery nationwide can fully focus their energy and efforts on supporting Sabah BN to regain the trust of the people.

“This will enable BN to lead the government for the well-being of the Sabahans,” he said in a statement.

The Umno general assembly was initially planned for August and had already been postponed to late November to accommodate preparations for the Sabah election.
