The floods in four states have started receding, with the number of evacuees sheltering in temporary relief centres continuing to decrease to 4,062 people this afternoon, down from 4,604 this morning.

In Perlis, the situation (above) is steadily improving with the number of evacuees dropping to 288 people, with one more shelter closing as of 4pm today, compared to 331 victims in four centres this morning.
