English newspapers

News Straits Times and The Sun front-paged the refusal of the royal commission of inquiry in to the Lingam tape to lawyer’s request to recuse three commissioners.

The Star and The Sun reported that photographs taken by two ACA officials of lawyer VK Lingam’s room to be the same as the one in the videoclip.

Malay newspapers

Berita Harian and Utusan Malaysia reported that suspects have been arrested to facilitate investigations into the murder of MIC Johor’s deputy chief S Krishnasamy.

Utusan Malaysia led with the confirmation by two ACA officials of the photo taken in VK Lingam’s room to be the same with the one in the controversial videoclip.

Chinese newspaper

All three Chinese dailies - Sin Chew Daily , Oriental Daily News and Nanyang Siang Pau led with the public hearing of royal commission on the Lingam tape.

They also highlighted the news that Education Minister Hishammuddin Hussein agreed to allocate RM1.07 mil for 12 partially-sponsored Chinese primary schools.

Tamil newspapers

All the Tamil newspapers - Malaysia Nanban, Makkal Osai and Tamil Nesan - wished their readers Ponggal greetings.

Tamil Nesan led with a story about a police report lodged by Hindu Rights Action Force secretary T Vasanthakumar against its legal adviser P Uthayakumar.

In conjunction with Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi official visit to Spain, Sin Chew Daily urged Malaysia to enhance her relationship with Spain which could help Malaysia to explore overseas market.
