Quranic Madani
The streets of Bukit Bintang, which saw the Rain Rave Water Music Festival held just last week, were filled with thousands of Quranic Madani: Night Reset - Bersatu Dalam Saf event attendees last night.
The event, hosted by the Federal Territories Islamic Religious Council (MAIWP), served as the official launch of the Quranic Madani programme, a spiritual initiative aligned with the government’s Malaysia Madani vision, as it is filled with Quran and selawat recitation as well as speeches, among others.
Sinar Harian reported that PKR deputy president Nurul Izzah Anwar was among those spotted at the event.
The Islamic Development Department (Jakim) said, in a Facebook post today, that such an event shows that the Islamic “syiar” (glory) can continue to be spread harmoniously and wisely in big cities.
Such an event, they added, could also attract participation from youth, families, and people from various walks of life.

Sungai Tiang assemblyperson Abdul Razak Khamis said he had expected to be sacked from Bersatu, but was disappointed that he was not called before the disciplinary board to explain the alleged misconduct.

Abdul Razak Khamis Razak, who is also the Kedah state assembly deputy speaker, said he had previously received a show-cause letter from the disciplinary board seeking an explanation over the alleged misconduct, linked to his support for former deputy president Hamzah Zainudin.
“However, I am somewhat disappointed that I was not called to explain myself in proceedings before the disciplinary board, as I wanted to know who had lodged the complaint against me.
“Nevertheless, I accept this decision and realise that the show-cause letter I received earlier was merely a formality, as their real intention was to dismiss me,” he was quoted as saying by Sinar Harian.
The positions of two Kedah assemblypersons who were expelled from Bersatu will be detailed before being presented to the sultan of Kedah, Sultan Sallehuddin Sultan Badlishah.
According to Bernama, Kedah Menteri Besar Sanusi Nor said any action regarding the matter must go through the prescribed administrative process and obtain the consent of the Kedah ruler.
“For now, both elected representatives will continue carrying out their duties as usual while the state government reviews the issue before seeking an audience with the sultan of Kedah to present the latest developments.
Yesterday, the Bersatu Disciplinary Board moved to expel Suka Menanti assemblyperson Dzowahir Ab Ghani, who is also the Kedah agriculture, plantation, and transport exco, and also Razak.
Currency fluctuations
The ringgit is expected to trade between RM3.90 and RM3.95 against the US dollar next week, ahead of a key meeting between President Donald Trump and China’s President Xi Jinping.

According to reports, Trump is scheduled to meet Xi during his visit to Beijing next week as the United States and China seek to stabilise relations strained by tensions over trade, Taiwan and the Iran war.
Bernama quoted Bank Muamalat Malaysia Bhd chief economist Afzanizam Abdul Rashid, who said investors are hopeful that the US-Iran conflict will de-escalate and that the meeting between the two leaders could pave the way for a de-escalation of the war.
“Nonetheless, the situation in West Asia will continue to be the main focal point which can switch the market direction abruptly,” he told Bernama.
The ringgit was higher against the US dollar at 3.9185/9230 on Friday, compared with 3.9690/9740 on Thursday the week before.
And with this Madini Quran and selawat recitation programme being a huge success, we can now count the fairness for other religions too obtaining such permits and be able to host their respective programmes in the same place or any other non Muslim populated areas. Afterall MADANI (A & I) means "spiritual A - HormAt (Respect)" & "I - Ihsan (Compassion)". This is what I call FAIR to all every Malaysian!
