• DAP strategic director Liew Chin Tong has challenged MCA to state if it would back the PAS-led Perikatan Nasional in the event of another hung Parliament.

  In a statement, the deputy finance minister said this would help voters to decide, since MCA president Wee Ka Siong is supposedly a strong proponent of a three-cornered fight between BN, Pakatan Harapan and PN.

  "At least by being honest, voters can know what MCA stands for," Liew (above) said.

Toll fare

• Vehicles entering Jalan Genting Highlands in Pahang will be subjected to toll charges beginning Thursday, according to a notice issued by a company that manages the private road for Genting Malaysia Berhad.

  Lingkaran Cekap Sdn Bhd said cars and vans under Category 1 will be charged RM5 per entry; medium lorries (Category 2, RM15); heavy lorries (Category 3, RM25); while taxis and buses will pay RM3.30 and RM5 per entry, respectively.

  The payment will be collected at the Genting Highlands entry at Genting Sempah and the Gohtong Jaya entry at the Gohtong Jaya roundabout.

  Emergency vehicles, motorcycles and vehicles used by civil servants working at government institutions in Genting Highlands are exempted.

  For Genting Highlands permanent residents, they can either pay a preferential rate per entry, which is lower by 10 percent than normal users, or through a season pass.
