Loke and Aminuddin defeated in Negeri Sembilan

N SEMBILAN POLLS | DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke and caretaker menteri besar Aminuddin Harun have been defeated in the Negeri Sembilan polls.

BN captured Chennah from Loke in what was a very close race.

Meanwhile, Aminuddin (above, left) failed in his quest to flip Linggi and is trailing by over 1,600 votes as of writing.

According to a video uploaded on the Sin Chew Daily Facebook, Loke conceded defeat in a short speech.

‘Don’t be disheartened’

He said the Pakatan Harapan campaign team did its utmost in Chennah but still lost by more than 500 votes.

“I would like to thank everyone. Please don't be disheartened or disappointed. We will continue to stand with all of you.

"Although we were unable to win this seat, all of you will always remain in our hearts," he said.

Loke also announced that he was considering resigning as Negeri Sembilan DAP chief to take responsibility for the party’s overall results today, Sin Chew reported.

The transport minister added that he would raise the matter at the upcoming DAP central executive committee meeting and let it decide.
