A group of monks from the Sakyamuni Caves Monastery in Gunung Kanthan, Perak, today submitted a memorandum to Suhakam in a bid to save the place of worship from demolition.

Accompanied by Lawyers for Liberty, the monks argued that demolishing the monastery would infringe on religious freedoms guaranteed under Articles 3(1), 11(1), and 11(3) of the Federal Constitution.
