New Straits Times headlined that at least three councillors at the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council had had police records for robbery and links with the underworld. The man who claims to have been sodomised by Anwar Ibrahim, Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan, also made headlines following his first appearance in public since making the police report.
Star headlined that the ACA has found grounds for a case against a former officer of Selangor Menteri Besar in relation to the solicitation of funds for the 100 days-in-office celebrations.

Editorial
New Straits Times in its editorial chided the US for not always acting in a manner that is consistent of its image as champions of civil liberty and defender of democracy following their comments on the fresh sodomy allegations against Anwar Ibrahim.
Utusan Malaysia queried America's statement in Anwar's new sodomy case since it believes that there is no need of foreign inteference in upholding justice.
Berita Harian
raised the issue of the Perak government giving away freehold land status to the occupants of new villagers. It stated that racial sensitivity should be taken into account. Furthermore the National Land Code specifically states that the freehold status of land for the period of 999 years can only be given under certain circumstances.

looks at the possibility of reducing world fuel prices. It suggests that Iraq and Saudi Arabia increase production of fuel so that depreciation of the US dollar would not create much of an impact on the rise of fuel prices.
