• Malaysia hit its six-gold target at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games today after S Sivasangari retained the women’s individual squash title.
  
  The Kedah-born national champion defeated India’s Anahat Singh 11-4, 11-4, 11-7 at the Nagoya Kinjo Futo Arena, while also securing qualification for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.
  
  Her victory came after Ng Eain Yow delivered Malaysia’s fifth gold earlier today, beating India’s Abhay Singh 11-9, 11-5, 11-5 in the men’s individual final.
  
  The defending champion also booked his place at the 2028 Olympics.
  
  Malaysia now has six gold, two silver and eight bronze medals. The other four gold medals came from karate, sepak takraw and e-sports, with karate contributing two.
