Ex-UITM Holdings CEO claims trial to RM37.37m CBT charge
The former CEO of UITM Holdings Sdn Bhd (UHSB) today pleaded not guilty in the Shah Alam Sessions Court to a charge of criminal breach of trust involving RM37.37 million in 2017.

The former CEO of UITM Holdings Sdn Bhd (UHSB) today pleaded not guilty in the Shah Alam Sessions Court to a charge of criminal breach of trust involving RM37.37 million in 2017.
Azlizan Fadzil, 52, who arrived at the court in a wheelchair, entered the plea after the charge was read before judge Nasir Nordin.
According to the charge, Azlizan, who was UHSB CEO at the time, was entrusted with RM37,374,612.68 allocated for the investment and development of a 50-megawatt large-scale solar photovoltaic power plant in Gambang, Pahang.
He is alleged to have misappropriated the funds by making payments for purposes unrelated to the project.
The offence allegedly took place at Affin Bank Berhad’s UITM Shah Alam branch, Level 2, Menara Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah, in Selangor’s Petaling district, between Feb 2 and Oct 2, 2017.

The charge was framed under Section 409 of the Penal Code, which provides for up to 20 years’ imprisonment, whipping, and a possible fine.

Is there some unwritten rule for those in any sort of power that they should exploit it? Or we have failed to teach morality along with religiosity and did we completely ignore meritocracy? Why are they stealing like the barrel is going to run dry in a hurry? Or is it?
Where is the check and balance?
Too massive corruption took place ,is time to implement very harsh punishment for corruption, Recently from Madani government, Rakyat can see and feel that genuinely our MACC in real action to bring all those sakau to court. Good job , MACC.
