Malaysiakini is a year shy of a decade and as part of its 9th anniversary celebration, it is honouring subscribers for making the website the leading online news portal in Malaysia.

To celebrate this milestone, Malaysiakini will be organising a host of exciting contests, starting with the Fun 9 and Fiesta 9 contests which promise great prizes.

The Fun 9 contest, which began early this month, has seen lucky subscribers walking away with DVD players by just answering a simple question.

The Fiesta 9 contest on the other hand promises a pair of flight ticket to Hong Kong as its grand prize.

Subscribers will have to compile their answers over a period of nine weeks and send their entries, complete with a slogan, to win prizes.

The questions to this contest are released every Wednesdays.

Among the Fiesta 9 prizes for grabs are digital AVs such as LCD TVs, iPods, digital cameras, camcorders and mp4 players.

Over the past nine years, Malaysiakini prides itself in acquiring a strong subscriber base.
