English newspapers

New Straits Times led with a photo caption of the scuffle between Selangor Umno Youth and Pakatan Rakyat MPs as Karpal Singh (DAP - Bukit Gelugor) entered the Parliament lobby. The scuffle was a result of the Bukit Gelugor MP using the term celaka in referring to Umno Youth.

Star reported Works Minister Mohd Zin Mohamed announcing the rise in toll charges at five different highways and Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi’s call to reconsider the rise. It also fronted a photo caption of the scuffle between Selangor Umno Youth and PR MPs.

Malay newspapers

Utusan Malaysia and Berita Harian also led with Abdullah’s call to restudy the hike in toll prices at five highways. Both newspapers also front-paged the scuffle between Selangor Umno Youth and PR lawmakers at the Parliament lobby.

Tamil newspapers

All the Tamil newspapers, Malaysia Nanban, Makkal Osai and Tamil Nesan headlined MIC president S Samy Vellu’s claim that the Pakatan Rakyat has done nothing for Indians in Penang. This has been refuted by Deputy Chief Minister II, P Ramasamy.
