Nine Malay publications and one in Arabic have been banned by the Home Ministry as they could affect public order.

According to a Bernama report today, the banning of the publications was made under the Printing Presses and Publications Act 1984.

The titles of the Malay publications banned are Hakikat Lafadz A.L.L.A.H. (translated and written by Muhyiddin Ibnu Arabi/ and published by Pustaka Progressif, Indonesia); Dari Zaman Nabi Muhammad Saw Dan Para Sahabat (by KH. Abdullah Zakiy Al-Kaaf and Drs. Maman Abdul Djaliel/ CV Pustaka Setia, Indonesia); Kisah Tongkat Nabi Musa (by KH Abdullah Zakiy Al-Kaaf and Drs Maman Abdul Djaliel/ CV Pustaka Setia); and Delapan Azab Allah SWT (by KH. Abdullah Zakiy Al-Kaaf and Drs Maman Abdul Djaliel/ CV Pustaka Setia).

The others are Jemaat Yang Mengalami Terobosan Strategi-Strategi Apostolik (by Dr Jonathan David/ Nafiri Gabriel, Indonesia); Mengapa Kita Mencintai Keluarga Nabi Saw (by Muhammad Kadzim Muhammad Jawad/ PT Lentera Basritama, Indonesia); Setetes Rahasia Alam Tuhan Melalui Peristiwa Metafisika Al-Mi'raj ( by KH. Bahaudin Mudhary/ Penerbit Pustaka Progressif); Quran Menurut Perempuan (by Amina Wadud/ PT Serambi Ilmu Semesta, Indonesia); and 40 Hari Khalwat Catatan Harian Seorang Psikologis Dalam Pengasingan Diri Sufistik ( by Michaela Ozelsel/ Pustaka Hidayah, Indonesia).

The Arab publication is titled Al-Audah Ila Al-quran which means Return to the Quran, written by Kassim Ahmad and published by Maktabah Madbuli Al-Saghirof Egypt.

The ministry warned that it is an offence to publish, reproduce, offer for sale or circulate the said publications.
