A Malaysian teenager was found stabbed to death today in Singapore, police said.

Officers found the 19-year-old, who worked as a cleaner, lying face down in a pool of blood on the 11th floor of a building, a police statement said.

"He had stab wounds on his torso and was subsequently pronounced dead at about 6:40am," the statement said.

The case is being investigated as murder.

Hundreds of thousands of foreigners work in the city-state, which recorded 19 murders in 2004.
