Police have extended the bail period of four individuals arrested in connection with an alleged New Year's eve 'Black Metal festival' in Kuala Lumpur.

When the four reported to the Brickfields police station yesterday when initial bail period expired, they were told to report back to the police station on Jan 30.

Police claimed that it had conducted a drug raid following a tip-off on the event, while patrons have cried foul.

Some 300 over revellers were hauled up at the venue and surrounding areas in the operation.

Organisers have denied the charges and some of those detained will initiate legal action against the police soon.
