Ghafar in hospital for asthma

Former deputy premier Tun Ghafar Baba is undergoing treatment for asthma at the Gleneagles Intan Medical Centre here, according to his eldest son Tamrin.
Former deputy premier Tun Ghafar Baba is undergoing treatment for asthma at the Gleneagles Intan Medical Centre here, according to his eldest son Tamrin.
Tamrin told Bernama his father suffered an asthma attack two weeks ago and had been admitted to the intensive care unit of the private hospital.
Ghafar, 80, had undergone similar treatment at the Pantai Medical Centre late last year and was allowed to go home in December.
Last September, he was under treatment at the National Heart Institute and was then transferred to the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre.
