Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) Chief Gen Abdul Aziz Zainal said today that initial reports have ruled out technical problem as the cause of the Allouette helicopter crash at the Army Air Base, Kem Mahkota, in Kluang on Monday.

He said the briefing on the initial report revealed that there was no technical problem when the crash occurred, according to a Bernama report.

"But I am not ruling out the human error factor and it is up to the inquiry board to investigate the incident," he told reporters after visiting two victims of the crash at Hospital Sultanah Aminah, in Johor Bahru yesterday.

In the incident at 9.52 am Monday, pilots Major Mohamed Yazid Yusof, 35, and Major Mohamed Suhaimi Salleh, 40 suffered internal injuries while quartermaster Staff Sergeant Mohamed Zamri Mat Saat, 30, suffered a broken leg.
