The British woman who was reported missing while descending a trail on Bukit Bendera in Penang yesterday was found safe on the hill early this morning.
Paula Chester 39 was found about 1am on the walk-way between station six and seven on the hill by a police party, Bernama reported.
Chester had ascended the hill by cable car with her husband, Clize Chester, when they decided to continue the rest of the trip on foot after the cable car stopped midway up the hill to change car.
While descending the trail, Chester, who was asthmatic, had breathing difficulties forcing her husband to leave her at the sixth station to seek help, only to find her gone when he returned later
The woman was brought down to the foot of the hill at the Teluk Bahang Forest Recreation Park at about 5.45 this morning.
