Malaysia's manufacturing sales, the cornerstone of the economy, rose 7.6 percent in June year-on-year to RM41.4 billion, according to official data released today.

The sector also posted a slight increase in sales value by 0.6 percent in June from April 2006, the Statistics Department said in a statement.
