Najib jailed
Four years after being charged for money laundering, criminal breach of trust, and abuse of power in the SRC International case, Najib Abdul Razak has been sent to jail.
He will be serving 12 years at the Kajang prison, and will have to pay a RM210 million fine.
While serving time, Najib can still file for a judicial review, or seek a royal pardon.
A pardon must be filed in 14 days if he doesn't want to lose his status as an MP.
The ex-PM's final day in court was also full of drama, with lawyer Muhammad Shafee Abdullah returning to his legal team, and a bid to recuse Chief Justice Tengku Maimun Tuan Mat over alleged bias due to her husband's anti-Najib social media posts.
A draft of the judgment was also leaked hours before the Federal Court made its ruling.
The courts said the draft, published on pro-Najib portal Malaysia Today, was "modified".

Umno scrambles
The day before Najib was sent to jail, his party Umno held an emergency meeting.
What exactly was discussed is unclear, although there was initial speculation that some Umno leaders wanted Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob to interfere with the Pekan MP's court case.
However, Ismail - who was absent from the first meeting - and other party leaders have denied this.

LCS 'sharks'
PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli linked Bersatu's Abdul Latiff Ahmad and his purported wife Zainab Mohd Salleh to two companies that allegedly swindled funds from the LCS project.
Abdul Latiff was previously the deputy defence minister under Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
Abdul Latiff denied Zainab is his wife, prompting Rafizi to swing back with more evidence of the duo’s ties.
Rafizi's allegations were based on an internal audit report by Boustead Heavy Industries Corporation (BHIC) a parent company of the contractor in the LCS project.
The report was declassified later that day, and contained references that indicated an Abdul Latiff was married to a Zainab whose firms were involved in "dubious transactions".
