PN in a civil war

PN chief Muhyiddin Yassin's move to declare BN as their main enemy has put the coalition on the brink of civil war instead.

In a not-so-subtle rebuke, PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan said declaring a Malay-Muslim group as the main enemy was ”unacceptable”.

Top leaders from both parties have moved to cool tensions immediately after Takiyuddin's remarks, but BN will likely try to drive the wedge further.

PAS wedding favours

Bachok MP Nik Mohamad Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz hosted a double wedding ceremony on Saturday after both his son and daughter got married.

However, the PAS lawmaker is courting flak after it was revealed that he asked several state agencies for favours to help organise the feast.

Among others, he had asked the Kota Bharu City Council to help provide chairs, tables and flowers, as well as to deal with waste management.

Critics want Nik Abduh to be investigated for abuse of power.

Kidnapping frenzy

A sudden surge in attempted kidnappings of school children was reported over the past several days.

Cases were reported in Kelantan, Perak and Pahang.

This triggered a panic, which naturally caused fake warnings to go viral.

Among the fake news was that police rescued six children from a lorry, which has actually been circulating since 2017.

It also turned out that the kidnapping case in Perak was a hoax. Police said the child had wanted to test how police would respond to a kidnapping attempt.

What else is happening?

  • The PAC will be probing another delayed ship project, this time involving the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency.
