Assets: To declare or not to declare?

Only three parties are having their GE15 candidates declare their assets, thus far.

The parties are PKR, PSM and Muda.

Amanah and DAP don't have an asset declaration policy, while BN's way is only for ministers to declare their assets to the prime minister.

PN, meanwhile, has been dismissive of declaring assets. One PAS leader quipped that it was embarrassing to do so as they didn't have "millions" in assets.

Flood situation worsens

The monsoon season is wreaking havoc nationwide, with thousands already forced out of their homes due to floods.

Kelantan is the worst affected thus far, followed by Johor, Selangor, Penang and Malacca.

No casualties have been reported yet.

Alarm over military votes

PKR president Anwar Ibrahim claims there is hanky panky going on with military votes.

He claimed to some troops had cast their ballots on Nov 11 - four days before early voting is supposed to take place.

He also claimed that troops in Bera were paid RM300 to vote.

Bera incumbent and caretaker prime minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said Anwar's claims are lies.

Ismail Sabri also said the troops who voted on Friday were possibly postal voters.
